The Vernon is a mutual building society, based in Stockport since 1924. Originally founded to provide facilities for savings and assistance for those seeking to buy a home in Stockport and the surrounding districts.

Vernon Building Society has a long history of giving back to Stockport and Poynton communities. They recently celebrated their centenary year, and have launched the Vernon Charitable Foundation. Through grants, the Foundation supports local charities providing public benefit in Stockport, Cheshire and Greater Manchester, focused on the prevention and relief of poverty and community development.

 

We are very proud of our association with the The Vernon Building Society who has been the Band's sponsor since 1988. The sponsorship agreement provides sufficient financial support to help safeguard the continuance of the Band for the immediate future.
